Welcome to E M Dorman Funeral Directors, the Independent family run Funeral Directors that have served Rutland and the surrounding area since 1994.
E M Dorman was trained by Teddy Toon, the previous undertaker, who had been the Funeral Director in Uppingham for 50 years. He chose Eddie to succeed him to the business, knowing his temperament was well suited to take on the role and he was proved right on all counts.
Since then Dormans have built up a well deserved reputation for excellent customer service and that shows in the feedback they have received from families who have entrusted the Funeral of their loved one to them.
Attention to detail and always putting the wishes of the family first are hallmarks of their business.

They operate a 24 hour service seven days a week and have a private chapel of rest at their premises at Uppingham in Rutland.
Once you have entrusted your loved one to Eddies care they will remain on his premises until the day of the Funeral, thus ensuring that disturbance is kept to a minimum.
In 1995 E M Dorman Funeral Directors fulfilled all the criteria to become a member of the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors and have gone from strength to strength since.
